American Idol decided to add a new judge, since viewership has decreased over the years. She's Kara KioDiguardi and she's a Grammy nominated songwriter. She's written songs for Kelly Clarkson, Christina Aguilera, Gwen Stefani, Celine Dion, Faith Hill, Carrie Underwood, Santana, Pink and much more.Idol execs hope that the addition will boost viewer ratings and give more 'girl power' to the dominantly male judges panel.
I'm sure Paula had no trouble at all being the only female in the panel! Besides, Kara is a cuter version of Paula.
